Can I apply for this visa while I am already in Spain?
Yes. You can apply from within Spain during your legal stay (e.g., as a tourist within the 90-day Schengen period).
How long does the process take?
Once submitted, Spanish authorities have 20 working days to process the application. If there’s no decision within that time, the application is automatically approved by positive administrative silence.
Can I bring my partner or family?
Yes. You can include your spouse, registered partner, and children as accompanying family members. Additional financial requirements apply.
What types of jobs are eligible for this visa?
Any job that can be done remotely: software development, digital marketing, graphic design, consulting, customer support, content creation, etc.
How long is the visa valid?
If you apply from Spain, you may receive a 3-year permit. If applying through a Spanish consulate, the initial visa is valid for 1 year, and can be renewed in Spain.
Can I work for Spanish clients or companies?
Yes, but with limitations. Up to 20% of your income may come from Spanish companies; the rest must be from abroad.
